She couldn't tell how long it had been since she had fallen for the lamp's trap. A magic genie lamp, there for the taking, a few trials to pass and so forth. Lavenia had been on the hunt for more power, for riches, fame and everything she felt she richly deserved for so long. The kind of benefits and grandeur that the court in which she worked as a grand sorceress could never grant her, the buffoons always bringing her down when she could have taken them to heights untold. Of course sending in a cloud of pestilence over their field would vanquish all their enemies, their children was merely an added collateral damage and bonus. Scheming with demons was merely trying to make long-term alliances and test out possible prospects. Having one's sibling secretly assassinated was a perfectly solid suggestion and idea if you wanted to get rid of undesirables; it's what she did years ago and things were hunky-dory. They had called her evil, malevolent, a she-devil from the lowest depths of
